Construction Cases

Double surface treatment Process with Asphalt and Aggregate in Botswana. Asphalt heating temperature is typically controlled between 160-190°C. Constructed using a synchronous chip sealer, the first layer has a spray rate of 1.2 L/m² with aggregate size of 14-20 mm, and the second layer has a spray rate of 0.9 L/m² with aggregate size of 6.5-14 mm. Compaction is performed using double-drum and rubber-tired rollers.

Usage Scenarios

Prime coat: Simultaneous spraying of asphalt and aggregate seals base course pores to prevent water infiltration, enhances bonding with the surface layer, and protects the base course from damage.

Seal coat: Constructed in two layers to improve pavement skid resistance and wear resistance; can serve as a wearing course or maintenance layer.
